Unfortunately, no. I believe it was just a direct transfer from the dvd. Some scenes were questionable, but that might be wishful thinking. :)

However, the bluray menu is kind of refreshing. Not that that really matters though lol.

I'm back once again.

Hello fellow LIT enthusiasts. FRT here, I felt I should say hello after viewing my newly purchased Lost In Translation Blu-Ray Disc. :) It truly brought back to me a familiar feeling from my first viewing in theaters. Anyway, It's been way too long, how is everyone doing here? :D P.S. Shall we sched...

If there was only some way to make the DVD intro a screen saver. Just have the background with the blinking lights. So entrancing.

That's great, might I ask why you are in Tokyo so often? Job requirement (or should I say perk :D ) or just the casual visit?

Re: Bill Murray at a St Andrews party...life imitating art?

I've reposted this since the last attempt disappeared... Bill Murray turns fiction into fact by pitching up at students' party in St Andrews with a new blonde friend – and then doing the dishes By Jonathan Wynne-Jones (Filed: 15/10/2006) In the Oscar-winning film Lost in Translation, Bill Murray fa...

Ah! I had posted a previous version of this myself! I never thought to email him directly though! Good thinking! As for the song, I tried very hard to find his cover version of the song but could not. So what I did was just ripped the audio from my DVD, during that particular part which I think is o...

I've got a question about another "subtle observation" issue. In the short scene in which Bob is shaving (when he receives a phone call saying he's got a fax), he shaves with an unusually small razor. This, I think, is a reference to the film North by Northwest--Cary Grant's character in that film ...

Jml, I'm really pleased to hear that you're heading out there this summer. Do you have your flights yet? I'd be happy to lend any advice I can. Yes I do. I'm spending a week in Japan (mostly Tokyo) and then a week in Hong Kong/Shanghai. I'm leaving from CA on May 27th (or 28th? i forget) Luckily, I...

I actually made a screen saver out of about 80-90% of those images...I was going to give it to Bob to upload but it was around 200 MB. Took me a few hours to expand each image, save them, then make the screen saver...very time consuming but well worth it!

I am not sure if it is an alternative to "Just like Honey" though this song reminded me of LIT almost immediatly when I had first bought the album. It is actually off of Pure Moods III. It is a little piece called "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" by Ryuichi Sakamoto. It obviously has a japanese theme...

That moment in Kyoto when Charlotte watches the ceremonial wedding procession is a very strong intertextual reference to Akira Kurosawa's film "Dreams" from the early 1990s. Specifically, this moment references the first of the eight episodes in "Dreams" in which the young Kurosawa stand-in charact...
