Collector's items...

Just in case anyone is interested, I'm selling a few rare LiT items (just have too many collectibles at this point!), they're on eBay if anyone wants a look.

Re: The Early 2000's

I do! LiT is definitely nostalgic for me, watching it brings back the less fast-paced, less instant, less chronically online society of now (I sound old, so yeah, maybe it's just that I was young!). I haven't been back to Japan since 2009, and I wonder how much it would still feel special to me, if ...

Re: Just Watched LIT Again!

The band Keep Shelly in Athens did a cover in 2011/12, maybe that's it?

I can't wait for this... the other two are my favourite films beside LiT. Which is your favorite? I like before sunset more. (Probably down to even that final line.) Have you seen the newest since this post and does it hold up to the others? I'm not sure... though I'd probably say Sunset if I had t...

I also like to watch it very late at night. In fact I don't think I've ever watched it in the day. I also watched it the day before going to Japan (both times) and the day after I returned... it's a weird thing, I felt like I needed to be absorbed in it, before I went, to prepare and after I returne...

I'd definitely go over to Odaiba. Shinjuku might still have lights up. Tokyo Tower will also probably be lit up for New Years. Also, try and visit the Meiji Shrine in Harajuku on New Year's Eve, it's one of the big things to do to ring in the new year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meiji_Shrine It wi...

Japan blog...

I'm not sure if anyone is interested but I've recently started a blog about Japan. I'm posting random things of interest/news and my photos from my trips a few years ago. Either way, I hope someone might stop by and give me a comment!

A boxset of all four Sofia films on Blu-ray. I think I'll be getting this. Out in October according to Amazon France.

LiT screening in Brighton...

I just found out about this, there is a Japan festival from 18th-26th June down in Brighton and on the 22nd they are showing an outdoor screening of LiT. Sadly I'm just a little bit too far away to make it :(

Tokyo Girl, how did you like the Blu-ray edition? I thought it was pretty good. Some shots still had the grain but I think that was probably what Sofia wanted for the film. The outdoor shots were nice and sharp. I definitely think the audio track was improved, it sounded a lot richer. You said you ...
