How very surreal. I was in a very dream-like mood today so I started humming this song, and singing that very line "close my eyes, feel me now." This of course, reminded me of LiT, and I decided to come to stop by this place. Was singing the same line in the topic title right when I started reading ...

I've always believed that the best acting performance in this movie was not from Bill, but rather Scarlett. Bill keeps basically the same expression throughout the entire movie, while Scarlett had the difficult task of establishing the subtlety of the movie with mere facial appearances. Everything s...

I make my triumphant return with some new thoughts on the purpose of this strip club scene. It's already been mentioned before, but I have to bring it up again: the scene was purposely used to get an R rating. Why does it need one? The answer seems to have eluded for me for so long, but after thinki...

Wow. I think you successfully put into words the power of this movie, something many of us have failed to do. Reading your post, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between my own feelings. The LIT experience really can't be described, but I think you did as good a job as any I've ever seen.

I don't think there's a doubt in my mind that my life changed for the better after viewing LiT. It's given me courage I never knew I had in discovering new things. It has radically changed the way I view movies, and I've noticed the more poetic features of certain forms of entertainment. People have...

Thumbs down to this idea. Even though I would still watch it and I'm sure it would turn out to be a pretty decent movie, it would defeat the purpose of the first. The ending was there to let us interpret how Bob and Charlotte would lead their lives, and knowing what happens in the sequell would kill...

If I had one wish right now, I'd wish that I could turn back time 1 year and watch this film for the first time all over again.

Scarlett sure is busy...I'm especially curious to see how Woody Allen will use her. I'm a bit skeptical on the Island, the premise is just screaming Matrix.

Big thumbs up to her for supporting Kerry-Edwards.

Pretty good stuff. The song is better than a lot of the soundtrack.

I disagree. While these scenes were interesting in their own right, they would have ruined the film. The water aerobics scene was just plain silly. The audience shouldn't get the impression that Bob is an outgoing guy who initiates contact with others. The entire purpose of the first half the movie ...

John, the MP3 link doesn't work. I think your wrong, I think Bob represents every married man in the western world. The spark has obviously gone out of his marriage and why has this happened, because his wife is thinking about every thing else but him. Why do women lose all spontiniaty after they ha...

My opinion on the movie? Well, I hardly consider myself the stereotypical teen, but alright. Let me start by saying that I seriously cursed myself after watching it. I was so angry with myself that I hadn't seen it earlier, an year ago when my mind was still in that phase of a teenager's life when h...

I read this somewhere from some guy who says he used a pair of headphones and took several hundred listens until he decided on this line. "You wanna see a better performance? Go up there right now and tell him that you love him. OK?" I watched the movie again, and I realized it did indeed sound quit...

Strip club scene

I can't help but think how much more far reaching this movie could have been if this scene was removed. Without this scene, the movie is easily a PG-13, even possibly PG. With the scene, the movie is borderline R. All because of some scene lasting 20 seconds that had very little effect on the plot. ...

I saw the movie two days ago, and I've been thinking about it ever since. I seriously cursed myself for waiting so long to see it. It made me question if my life would be any different today if I had seen it while my mind was in vulnerable and easily influenced state last year. No movie has ever aff...
