Re: Park Hyatt Room Number?

Hi all! Well, as life does, several things have gotten in the way of making this work for the 20th anniversary. I have a new goal, and that will be to make it for the 25th anniversary. A trip like this may very well be a once in a lifetime event, and I want to make sure I can do it “right”, and at t...

Re: Play It Again Sam...er um...I mean Charlotte!!!

We must be just weeks away from the 20th at this point, no? Any thoughts on a simulcast watching or two?

Re: Park Hyatt Room Number?

Thanks Redleader! And thanks for sharing your story as well. It’ll take a bit of luck and hard work coming together to make next year happen, but I’m hopeful. I just returned from Iceland recently and fell in love with that place and now have conflicting desires as to whether to return or not before...

Re: Park Hyatt Room Number?

Just an interesting update for anyone following this with curiosity. Bob’s room, 4808 is the “Diplomat” suite. A video of the room, complete with LiT music, was posted on YouTube not even a month ago. It’s quite the suite...and I also found confirmation elsewhere, from the Park Hyatt itself, that fi...

Re: Park Hyatt Room Number?

Thank you for the reply. Looks like my eyesight was correct for Bob’s room. I thought I had read somewhere (probably here), that they actually only used 1 room during filming, and just rearranged the furniture. Not sure if that’s actually true or not. If they are separate rooms, that may be importan...

Park Hyatt Room Number?

So my plan is to visit Japan for the first time in 2023, 20 years after the movie release and 21 years after filming began. I’m undecided whether I’d like to be there for the 20th anniversary on 9/9, or more likely, sometime in October so I can get the same “feeling” the movie has (as filming began ...

Finally had the chance to watch it. Overall I enjoyed it, and it certainly had a “Sofia” feel to it.

Re: On The Rocks - Spoiler FREE discussions, reviews etc!

I’ll be curious as to your impressions. I haven’t yet found a good stream of it, so I’m still waiting to see it.

Re: Play It Again Sam...er um...I mean Charlotte!!!

Just finished watching it yet again, and not much has changed for me since my first post in this forum 11 years ago (back on page 3) . Wow. It’s nice to know this place is still up and running; thanks Bob San! 15 years in, and I hope more and more people begin to view this movie as a timeles...

2008 you sounds pretentious, hahaha! At least you can laugh at yourself!
Please post more pics though, your photos a great. I love the skyline and bridge pics, and have used them both as screen savers for years.

Carlos, I really like your hypothesis. 1st - although we are led to believe the flight was in the morning from the conversation in the lobby, etc. It clearly looks like the sun is setting, not rising, when Bob is in the cab on the way to the airport. 2nd - the airport he is flying from is almost a 2...

Wow...happy 10th! It's about time for another viewing. Although I'm sad to say I missed doing it on the anniversary, I will say I always preferred watching it around the last week of September/ 1st week of October as to coincide with the actual filming dates. I think I know what I'll be up to next w...

So I realize I am updating a very old thread, but I recently (and finally) got myself a bottle of Suntory! It seems quite a bit has changed since some of these older posts. Suntory currently has available 10yr, 12yr, 18yr, 25yr, and 50yr old whiskey available on their site....at least in the yamazak...

scarlett in the nanny diaries

just saw this one. the movie isn't to bad, even for guys, but its not fantastic either. it was enjoyable and i would say worth watching. scarletts performance is as usual, very good, and that certaintly helped make the movie for me.
