Re: What was the last movie you saw?

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. :D It might get overlooked because it's animated (I'd argue that animation is a medium and not a genre), but it's a beautifully crafted, acted, and animated film with a lot of heart. 10/10, I'd highly recommend it.

Well, crikey I've logged this film on Letterboxd (great film website by the way) only 7 times but got to be getting closer to thirty or forty watches in reality. Hope all lit fans are doing well in Virus quarantine. Watched it with a close friend and she really enjoyed it. Roll on 20th anniversary ...

Scarlett Johansson Breaks Down Her Career ...

Vanity Fair has a video series where actors break down their careers and talk about production and inspiration of certain films ... Apparently, exactly one month ago, a video featuring our Scarlett was published! Lost in Translation , of course, being briefly discussed. * Scarlett Johansson ...

Hi there! How funny -- you mentioned that I'm active here, but it took me exactly one month to reply! I'm sorry about that ... ! I do love Sideways ! Unfortunately, there are no forums I know of for it ... If you enjoy the film, I would also suggest the book! Events happen a little bit differ...

Re: Your LiT Traditions.

The last time I watched it from start to finish (and not as background music) was during our first trip to Japan in 2016, on our last night in the Park Hyatt Tokyo, my wife and I ordered room service and watched it over our meal, in our room, against the backdrop of the brilliant and haunting Tokyo...

Re: the Introduce Yourself thread

Over time, as I started to travel more and developed acute wanderlust, I really wanted to "get lost" in the same way the characters in the movie did. Beautifully said! I recently came across your post about visiting the Park Hyatt Tokyo. How wonderful it must have been to satisfy that wanderlust, a...

Re: Your LiT Traditions.

Similar to others' experiences, I also choose to watch Lost in Translation at night, by myself. Recently, I've decided to listen with big, plush, noise-cancelling headphones. It really adds to the experience, and makes me feel slightly more connected to Charlotte, who wears headphones of her own thr...

I celebrated a little later than usual -- on Friday, September 21 with a taste of Suntory whisky for Bill Murray's birthday. (Felt appropriate!) :D

If you do that, I'll put on a blonde/pink wig and sing, "I'm special, soooo special" to you. We'll call it a date.
