I had a relationship like it. I think that is why I like the movie so much. It was hard dealing with the fact I will probably never see the person again. I have always wondered how he and his family are doing.

I'm female and I "get" this movie. Personal experience partly. Partly a big fan of Bill Murray. Oddly, I was not moved so deeply from my first viewing of LiT in the theater. It was only after the Oscars and obtaining the DVD that I really became obssessed, if you will. I love all the sublte nuances ...

One of my favorite scenes is when John and Charlotte meet Kelly in the lobby. SJ's talents as an actrees really shine in this scene. She hardly says anything but look at Kelly and John. But you know exactly what she is thinking by only her facial expressions. In the script, Kelly is carrying a copy ...

I watched this thanks to your post! I want to go to Tokyo so bad. I want to go to the little bars featured in the show. The little bars where only 6-8 people can go. One of the barowners interviewed said photographers, writers and cinema directors frequent his bar. I wonder if Sofia has been there??...

Wow!! How observant of you, Sam!! I got my Tokyo map out to see what you are talking about and you are correct. They drive on the left and the building appear on Bob's left. Therefore he must be driving away from the Park Hyatt. I like to pause my DVD at the end, after Bob and Charlotte say their go...

I know this topic has been hashed to death here and on other message boards. But I seemed to detect sarcasm towards Sweetmidori. Maybe he/she was so happy with their discovery that they felt the need to share with other LiT fans. That's ok, even though we all have our own opinions as to Bob's final ...

I think the song you're referring to is by the Chemical Brothers, "The State We're In". It is the song that is playing as Charlotte gets her purse and they head out towards the elevators. It is not on the soundtrack. Here is a link for LiT music: http://wairen.bravehost.com/lost.html Hope that helps...

I watched Shall We Dance?, the 1996 Japanese film. It has been remade with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez. The Japanese version was cute but not great cinema by any means. I enjoyed it to see sights in Tokyo. Many scenes were shot in sushi bars and restaurants and were similiar to some of the place...

Thanks for the chatroom, Bob!! I tried it out this morning. I still need to play around with it. I haven't figured out how to change font colors.

Now we need to set a time to watch the movie! I will stock up on edamame and Kirin beer. I'm not a big sake fan.

I checked out the Yahoo site and the chatroom is available. I was able to enter it easily and we could all chat in real time while viewing the movie.

When would you all like to attempt an online watching party using the Yahoo chatroom? I'll post it on the Yahoo site. I'm a member there as well.

I will check out the LIT Yahoo chat room. I think that would work best. We can all see what every one is saying in real time. I've exhcanged emails with others on this site to talk and discuss the movie but the lag time in emails is frustrating. Real time chat would be ideal, for me.

Re: Weird experience yesterday while shopping

. Anyone here have an experience like this? It was great :) I also experience this when I hear LIT music. I have yet to hear it by chance in public, though. Yesterday, I worked from home and had LIT on in the background. I hadn't watched it in several weeks. I, too, had a bittersweet feeling. I was...

I am in the U.S. I don't know what region DVD I have. The scene in "Lost on Location" is about midway through. The crew has finished shooting Shibuya crossing. Then we see them in a van. Ross is telling the camera that now it is week 3 and they will be doing Park Hyatt interiors. Others mention that...

I have come to conclusion that it is not Sofia with her back to the camera in the ikebana scene. I had to watch and re-watch the scene as well as "Lost" on Location in order to ascertain this person. On the "Lost" on Location short film, this ikebana scene is being set up. Sofia is telling the asst....

Hello, everyone. Here are my trivia questions for you: 1. Who is the fictional author quoted on the equally-fictional "A Soul's Search" self-help CD ? 2. What does Bob try to think, when he's prompted to look "more mysterious" ? 3. What is Charlie Brown doing at the strip club, according to Bob ? 4...

Congratulations, Matt!! You nailed them. Although, upon further review, I might have included a stumper in there. #1 may not be correct. I had originally thought that the box he received from the Suntory PR group ws the same gift he gave Matthew. I watched the movie again this weekend and it sort of...
