I guess I was one of those who had high expectations for this film. I was disappointed about different aspects of the film. I didn't like the soundtrack, the next-door neighbour seemed over-acted, the ending tried to be too enigmatic. It was as if the director was trying to take elements from Lost i...

Well, the other flaw in the script is if she knew he was a film star, she would have recognized him the moment she looked at him in the elevator. So, maybe...just maybe she doesn't really know who he is until they have their first chat at the bar and he reveals he's doing a million dollar ad for Sun...

After the show, the band headed off stage. I moved off to the left. Just then Yuki came out through the door and I called her name, but she didn't hear me and proceeded to a corner of the bar. I Then noticed she and the band were selling T-shirts, CD's and posters. I moved over behind the throng of ...

Asobi Seksu

ASOBI SEKSU I first heard about this band in this forum. I don't recall who posted it first as being music related to the soundtrack of LiT, but after downloading some of their music, I started warming up to this band the more I listened to them. They are not the type of band you would hear on the ...

I couldn't hear that line either until i read it here. Bob's situation is the classic stay together for the kids scenario. If it weren't for them, he probably would leave his wife. They obviously have grown apart. That is why his connection to Charlotte is so important. And rather than it making him...

Congruous..i've skpped through these scenes too...i don't really like her voice. The scene in the whirlpool especially...although it's an important scene in that the audience really gets to see Bob's frustration with his wife and situation..."No, it's always a good time," then looks at his cellphone...

Fly... Just saw it for the 16th time. For sure, my viewings are now more spaced apart. But, I still get that emotional jolt in the heart when I think about how totally blessed a connection like that would be in real life. To think of the odds against it. Bob is generations apart from Charlotte, and ...

Ah yes, I stand corrected.

What an awesome trip. Makes me so want to go. How was it interacting with the locals? Did you learn any survival Japanese, or were you able to get by all on English?

So so cool. Now, where is Charlotte??

Ok, I have a question...there was some debate about this before...

Where is the lobby, where you check into the hotel? People are telling me it's not on the ground floor...

Are you gonna find that arcade Charlotte was in?

I Dont' Understand the Fax.

The day that Charlotte goes to Kyoto. Bob is shaving and he gets a call about a fax. Next we see him leaving the hotel, sneaking past the Suntory employees. Then he calls on his cell to accept the talk show as he looks at the fax. It's a fax from Charlotte from Kyoto, showing Bob to the Sushi place....

First time noticed.

So....after 15 viewings...I only noticed this for the first time. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this.

The one and only time Bob looks directly into the camera is during the Karaoke scene when he sings "...is all hope lost..."

Never noticed that before...hmm.

I seem to have reached a saturation point after viewing #14. I put it on a few times after that, and I ended up falling asleep. Seems I have to be in the right mood now for it...and space out the viewings. I'm planning on completing my 15th watch tonight.... This may become a monthly thing rather th...
