Although more of an Anti-love song than a love song, one of my favourite tunes is Radio by Alkaline Trio. A great unplugged, acoustic song by a well known punk band (Ith and 52FM are going to put a hit on me for this). The reason I like this song so much is the clever lyrics. Take a look: Shaking li...

Napoleon Dynamite

I found a funny review for this movie (posted below) online the other day and realized there was no thread about it. It seems to me like most people like or hate Napoleon Dynamite, be it for its chuckle-worthy characters or complete absence of 'plot'. Personally, I think it's a very intelligent film...

Not summer, when the trash of the trashy neighborhood I'm in acts up all over, along with their school age kids. Not winter, when the worst town in Ohio south of Cleveland can't get the snow and ice off the streets. Let's say spring, when the womenfolk come out of their parkas, and you can actually...

Yes, but I want to like someone in a movie, especially if it's essential for enjoying it. Bah humbug. That's true. I like the movie, but I can't help but admit that Joel is a character with no substance (Jim Carrey gives him a personality, but beyond that Joel is just tofu). I feel for him but I do...

Well, I'm in agreement that yes, it is a good thing if it gives them courage. I just don't know where you got the wickedness part... :?

I have about 10 hours of George Carlin on my computer, which I listen to whenever I'm bored. I think my favourite routine is the "stupid things we all do" routine which is on the Parental Advisory CD :)

yup :D Heheh. Of course. The other ones in the album are all funny too! Seems to be more of the nonsensical, stupid British humour that we're all so familiar with (as opposed to the intellectual kind). If you want another site with this kind of stuff i would suggest http://www.rathergood.com . Poss...

I'm a former decrepit catholic. I stopped going to church when I was still young because, well there is some hypocrisy (credit to You Make It Easy), but I don't believe it's unique to catholicism. What really gets to me is the excessive symbolism of the whole thing. Maybe it's just the generation ga...

There's a young man at work who believes there are devils flying about in the air, influencing us. A nice guy without many friends. Now I don't know if it's a situational thing or not, but I'm pretty open about my religious beliefs, and I'm not going through a shortage of friends. Hard to tell if t...

I respect your opinion - just wish it was stated in less of an insulting tone. I'm one of those by your definition that needs "help". Same. I'm not one to condemn people for being atheists, and I'm not condemned for being a Christian (nor do I feel condemned now). I'm also strongly opposed to pushi...
