The movie came out today but I can't see it until next week. In the meantime reading some reviews, Roger Ebert who may have liked it more than other critics, said a couple interesting things about it that I quote here: What's interesting is the way the director, Justin Lin, surrounds his gaijin with...

I loved The Island!

Just saw X-Men 3. It was sad, not great, but reasonably good.

I think it was just to add a diffused feeling relating to the atmosphere in the bar. If memory serves, its even described in the script that the music was playing and the atmosphere was "sparkling" as they looked at each other. I suppose this was the interpretation when it was put on film :) I just...

Watched it again Saturday afternoon for the umpteenth time.
Yes its not the same as the first or second time but there are still parts
that move me when they occur. Also I look at other things in the
frame and see more things I didn't notice as much before.

Maybe it was blurry because they were pressed for time and the light was dim and they werent using external lighting so the camera just got out of focus for a few seconds or something and they just decided to leave it that way.

I saw the trailer in the theater this past weekend and I have to say it
looks like the usual cliche'd dumb story that's been done a million
times before in some form or another. However as I said before I do like
the fast flashy cars and Tokyo so I'll probably see it. :o

There is what VF intended or had mot...

Too funny JM!! My take on the whole translation thing is that in actual use, the terms needing no translation and lost in translation are very commonly used in everyday language to refer to any number of things having to do with cross cultural references and boundaries. If you do a google seach on t...
