I rented it last weekend and I really enjoyed it. When he and the girl bump into each other on the stairway, exchange mumbled "Excuse me's", and she says, "Wait, can we do that again? I don't want to just be ants, you know?" ... I liked that part. Also the idea that after death your dream self lives...

I haven't seen it, but I've been meaning to. It's directed by Richard Linklater, the same guy who wrote/directed Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. And, as I understand it, Jesse and Celene make a cameo.

Although Swingers is one of my favorite movies, I think their similarity ends at being 'about relationships'. Swingers is a comedy front to back. LiT, though unfortunately marketed as a comedy, was not. Swingers was completely about the characters and dialogue was the focus. LiT focuses more on loca...

Then if you know a girl who begins to snort when she laughs too hard (which is often), is that like the rhythm section?

Hee hee snort hee hee snort snort.

It's actually much cuter than the text makes it seem.

In the car after karaoke. Pretty much that whole sequence in the taxi, and including the part where Bob carries Charlotte down the hall, into her room, and puts her to bed with MBV just barely audible.

Beautiful.

The only thing I really remember about it was that Bjork was the lead actress, and as I recall did quite a good job of it.

I'll have to watch it again sometime.

Who do you think you're talking to?

I just finished watching the Lost on Location thing that's in the bonus features of the DVD, after completely forgetting it was there. Good stuff, that. During the part where Bill Murray is reading from the book "Making Out in Japanese" he quotes a phrase, that apparently means "Who do you think you...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail used to be the movie I had seen the most, until Lost in Translation. Those are probably my only two double digit movies. Some others in no particular order: Clue Nausicaa of the Valley Of Wind Labyrinth Dark City Before Sunrise/Sunset Mystery Train Prince of Darkness ...

Autumn, definitely. Mostly it's the change in the air, the feel and the smell. Things seem more vivid to me...more in focus. The changing of the stars in the sky. The shorter days; I'm a night owl. Here in the evergreen state we don't get very many trees that change, but those that do contrast nicel...

In the same vein as MBV, a band called Slowdive has some pretty good 'shoegaze' songs. In particular, songs called Shine and She Calls fit the mood very well. And as much as I dislike pop in general, Dido has quite a few songs with lyrics that remind me of LiT so I find myself unable to resist. Spea...

As wonderful as ever.

I needed it.

Also, I completely forgot about the girl waving goodbye after the credits until I saw it just now.
