I too have the Japanese version and have never actually owned the R2 version, I have to say I really like it though. But I don't think it tops the Japanese one for me... I just love the pinkish dusk colour, I think it feels perfect for the film. I really hope this film gets a Blu Ray release, the me...

I wish there was a commentary as well... I've had a Reg 2 version and I now have the Japanese version, I'm thinking of buying the HD one but I really hope there's going to be a Blu Ray soon!

These are really amazing, I especially love the Gion District, the Kiyumizadera Temple and the Tokyo Tower one... but they're all beautiful.

And the quality is perfect, what camera do you use?

WOW that's a lot, I only paid about £25 for mine. I always see it as quite a 'spring' movie, around cherry blossom time (march-april), I know it's not set then but it seems to capture that mood for me :)
