I watched it again (at what is now about my annual viewing) over Christmas vacation. I was rapt and repeated my favorites scenes.
At this point once a year is good.

I finally watched the film last night. After reading so many diverse opinions here I have to now say I side with those who didnt like it. First of all it looks like Jarmusch saw LIT quite a few times and was fixiated on a few scenes from it like where Bob is sitting on the side of his hotel bed in t...

Re: Asobi Seksu

ASOBI SEKSU thing this other-worldly atmosphere. And that's when it hit me. As the waves of this brute force pounded me from the stage, I was overcome with an electric-spiritual force which surged through my body and woke me up to the core. I would not be the same person again. Something hit me tha...

The first place I ever saw her was on "Angel". She played a cop who started wondering about Angel and what was going on. She was mostly
in the second season I think. Then at some point in the future while channel flipping I saw she was L&O.

I was about to say I dont skip any part of it but then I remembered the pool scene
where Bob is swimming past the women doing water
aerobics. That's the only part I skip. To me each scene (some more than
others) holds a special significance.

Nope. Charlotte will get bored of John very fast. I give the marriage one more year. One year from now or one year from when the movie came out?! If it was one year from when the movie came out then that means they seperated in 2004 and they are divorced now. Or is it always one year from the...

Re: Life can suck.

More and more I am coming to the understanding that this "soul mate," this "Charlotte" we seek is nothing but our very own invisible soul which is ever before us, right under our noses, buried deep within, under all the billions of extraneous thoughts which circulate our beings. And to begin the jo...

We (ok maybe some or many of us) are the kinds of people who live lives of quiet desperation as someone once said. We go to work everyday and go through the motions and to everyone else look like fine like them, drones just going about our automated lives but in reality we are often desperate and mi...

Globe Trekker episode of Tokyo City Guide

About a month ago I taped an episode of Globe Trekker on PBS tv which was about Tokyo and some other parts of Japan. It's a cool show if you get a chance to see it.

Yea Ive seen those New Voyages and there are quite a few other Trek fan groups out there that have created their own espisodes.
There is one particularly prolific group who use CGI for the sets
who have produced over 30 "episodes".

F&F3 - Tokyo Drift

Ok I saw it last week. It's not a bad movie if you can get past the cliche'd dialogue, story, plot etc. What's left after that?! Insane crazy screaming car action, car chases, races, explosions. And extremely good looking members of the opposite sex. Oh and about 10 minutes of interesting footage of...
