Alright, I'll just throw out a date here and see what people think. If any of you that are interested could just reply saying if this works, and if not then suggest when would work for you, we can try and get as many people as possible. For those of you who don't know what a simul-view is, we all me...

You know, I checked imdb.com and they had Oct 3 as the release date and just assumed it was correct. A little more research and I get all sorts of other dates. The only thing any of them can seem to agree upon is that its first limited showings were on Sept 12, 2003 in LA/NY. But we don't have to be...

I'd been looking for this for a while but it wasn't under the foreign section at the video place - it was under independent. I found it while looking for something else in the indie section and recognized the cover shot. There were times where the dialogue made me scratch my head, but that could hav...

Charlotte Sometimes
Anyone else seen this? It was on AZN a few months ago.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284478/
Its story was a little thin but it's worth a watch for those who like subtle dramas, which is likely most of you.

It's occurred to me...
...that maybe I've seen this movie too much when I'm sitting at work and singing/reciting the sound effects from the arcade scene verbatim in my head.

Tom xx It does. Just Like Honey is normal length, and then 50 Floors Up (the b...

Japanese DVD and Soundtrack
My girlfriend gave me both of these for my birthday yesterday. I know it's been brought up in other threads how vastly superior they are as compared to the US versions, but I don't recall seeing any images or details. I haven't had a whole lot of time to go through them yet but here's a quick run do...
There were people in the theater when I went, but I went there alone. It really wasn't until I watched it after buying the DVD though that the full effect of the movie really hit...that viewing was alone too, as were the 10 or so after that in the week that followed. I've watched it a couple times w...

Anniversary Simul-View
So we haven't done one of these in a long time, and of course we no longer have the chat function anyway. But how about we try and make it a yearly thing to do a simul-view on the release date of the movie, October 3 (or the closest weekend to it). Bob could send out an email to all the users remind...

I personally don't see why johnmonkey should be banned for actions he took before the rule was in place, JMHO. I have to agree with this, but I think it's moot since it's pretty clear JM doesn't want to have anything to do with this site anymore <shrug> However: this is from the agreement that you ...

in that david lynch way. anyway, highly recommended. It was Darren Aronofsky (pi, Requiem for a Dream) that wrote/directed, not David Lynch. Anyway, when I saw this movie with a large group of my friends everyone of them hated it, with comments ranging from 'trite and cliche' to 'best comedy of the...
