Uh-oh...does this mean I'm turning into a LIT memorabilia geek? Tom xx Only if you buy TWO copies of the Japanese versions to keep one set in permanently in cellophane for your LiT shrine. You would also need one of those Monseuil Owls and a framed LiT poster signed by both Bill and Scarlet...

Wow,thanks for the pics. :D

I hadn't thought about the LIT references;they went completely over my head when I saw the film (easy done  ).

What I DO know is that BABEL was robbed at the oscars!

I've only actually watched it maybe 3 or 4 times (max) since it was released at the cinema.

Reason? I'm scared to death that it'll lose it's emotional impact and/or I'll get sick of it! :?

Lookin' forward to the simul-view around October time, though. :D

I've just watched it and she only sings one line 'Honey' and as much as I like Scarlett her singing is absolutely awful in it :? Here's a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4paPtRuIw2Y Blimey. Not good at all. Thanks for the link, though. As for the performance,well...I guess you just ...

Yeah, same for me. Where it differs for me though is that watching it with others has proved to be a bad idea, because it never has the same effect. Also, for me, time and place is important as to trully appreciate the film and really 'connect' with it, in the way that makes it so special to watch....

I've actually been fascinated as to why this movie is not a "chick movie" but rather a film that speaks to men. And I part of my reasoning was the fact that other than Ith, I am surrounded by men in this forum. It's funny...until I read the above,Pockets,I'd never really noticed the demographic bef...

Thanks,Pockets!

That's about 35 of our English pounds sterling...a bargain! I do tend to panic, though, when I see I've just paid for something in thousands of whatever currency...

Hey,what a find!

I can't make up my mind it's the kind of thing I wanted him to have said (it is),or whether it sort of spoils the whole enigma thing. To me,the way they both parted, happy and smiling, suggests that they were somehow going to carry on where they left off.

How's it pronounced?

...is it JO-hansson or YO-hansson?

I've heard different media types pronounce it BOTH ways, and I'm confused! :?

Does Bob-San know?
