Before sunrise is worth a watch. A film about two people that meet on a train and spend the night walking the streets of a small European city. It has a sequel I hear, but Im not sure if I want to see it.. I just watched them both last night :) I've seem them quite a few times now but I don't get b...

Aah so you're a writer. A challenging thing to write, I think. Are you finding it stimulating/enjoyable? I love it when things just pop into the mind. Cultivating that area & keeping the channel clear seems to be the trick, something I'm still trying to understand. And you seem to have a hold on th...

I read that Murakami gave the green light on the movie and he'd been saying no to any adaptations for years apparently so he must have been somewhat happy with it! Wow, really? ("even in the smallest events there’s no such thing as coincidence") I think I know which one that is: 'She's got the moves...

Haha yeah, there certainly are some interesting characters that pop up in his work. We're only getting it at the local arthouse cinema (I just watched Somewhere there as well) but I'm not getting my hopes up, from all the reviews it seems that it's just a very basic retelling of the story, with hard...

Yes Norwegian Wood particularly, I could have just kept reading and reading. I was really disturbed at the Jonnie Walker parts, I guess that was the idea but it wasn't nice, I don't even think I'd like to read that part again! The movie for Norwegian Wood comes out at my local cinema in a few weeks,...

Haha yeah, I think I've read everything that's been translated so far. I really love his writing. I'd say Wind Up Bird Chronicle is probably my least favourite actually, but I have only read it once. It was just very long and I didn't really like the war/violent parts. I really enjoyed Kafka althoug...

I took your cue TokyoGirl and read After Dark . I was surprised at the change in tone in this one. I thought it was a good read but I think I need to return to it again. I'm stalled on Kafka on the Shore - I often start reading then trail off forgetting to finish them. lol Let me know what you thou...

What's the extra track on the Japanese soundtrack? "50 Floors Up"? Is that just the hidden karaoke track on the US CD? I have the Japanese one and the extra track is 50 Floors Up (but off the top of my head I can't think when it's used in the film) by Brian Reitzell with Bill's karaoke track after ...

There's now a bit wider release with new theaters listed on the official site. I saw it this afternoon. Honestly I wasn't impressed. I get where she was going with the film but it missed the mark in my opinion. On the other hand it wasn't until my second viewing of LIT, alone and at home, that it r...

the francis ford coppola winery store has has a book section where they sell the screenplay to marie antoinette so i called them today to see if there was anyway to get an official publication of the LiT screenplay. in short, there isn't a way to get it in print but the good new is that the shootin...
