But I wonder how many average Joe/Jane type people who went to see the film didn't know that ikebana was flower arranging and therefore didnt even notice it!!! :) Actually when I first saw the film I dont think I even knew what it was! I found out later. :? hehe, yea I didnt actually know what...

it would make me complete if I could just wonder round the neon filled Shinjuku district, listening to the MBV and Death in Vegas songs from the soundtrack, meeting scarlett wouldn't be to bad either ;P

I think in this case, it shows that its easier to be really honest about yourself and your life with a person who could be considered a stranger, knowing that what ever happens during the time you are with that person will never really matter, as you'll probably never seen that person again, althoug...

The song works so well with that scene and to an extent, I think the song does have a deeper meaning, atleast relating to charlotte. With her not knowing what she wants to do yet, her walking away and "taking on the world" is whats needed to really discover herself, or the idea of "taking on the wor...

its funny you should mention that jml, I got LiT on DVD through the post the other day, and watched it last night, After watching the film, I watched the extra's which I had been dying to see, and as you say, although I thought they were really good, I was pretty disapointed not to see more of scarl...

I know a fair bit about IRC, and know how easy setting up a channel is, but I know little about embedding javascript applications allowing you to enter that specific irc room, I think firstly the room would need to be set up on the actual IRC server, then the Javascript chat template set to connect ...

I would love to go to tokyo, nevermind watching the film and then taking to the streets, that would be mezmorising, I hope I get the chance to go there on "business", or for any reason for that matter :P Flights from UK are outrageously priced, especially for a student ;D

Re: Weird experience yesterday while shopping

Listening to the soundtrack can be moving just like watching the movie. The song selection is perfect. The introduction song in particular. Hearing that song makes me think of the whole movie. And then of course there's the last scene that gives me an empty feeling. I remember that feeling was stuc...

The soundtrack to LiT is just pure class and I feel is a vital part to the movie and how it portrays the characters emotions, Ive got a chunk of the soundtrack on my mini disc and each song just takes me back to the first time I saw the movie. Relating to hearing that song, I was sat flicking throug...

Have to agree with both of your posts relating to the idea that LiT made you really want to get more out of life. Individually I just felt that some of the thoughts and emotions that Charlotte spoke about in the film, the whole, "I dont know what I want to be thing" kind of coincided with my life, h...

Lost and found/finding

About 10 days ago, I obtained a copy of Lost in translation, wandering what all the rave I had stumbled upon in reviews and magazines was really about. After watching it the first time, I wandered around for the next 4-5 days in a trance, my head full of ideas and thoughts, and generally as one memb...
