The last time I watched Lost in Translation was at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. It played in the theater in conjunction with a photography exhibit focused on Tokyo. It was only my second time seeing it on a "big screen," so my anticipation was high. Not surprisingly, anticipation was met with ab...

I've never been able to find "Goodbye" in the film even with the volume cranked. I originally thought it played as Charlotte walked through Shibuya crossing, but it looks like I am wrong. Hmm. Time to watch Lost in Translation with a new mission ... ! Before I watch LiT, I usually let the menu play...

Almost 1:00a here and I'll need to get ready for work, soon ... just not feeling it, though. Thinking about calling in a Personal Day tomorrow ... ;)

These are absolutely stunning posters ... this one, in particular, has always been one of my favourites.

The only complaint I have about these is that they aren't real! It's really difficult to resist the beauty of the simplicity in these posters. :)

Thank you for sharing these with us!

Good times! ;)

Westerns are great! A few that I really enjoy are The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance , The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly , and if you count the "first contact" features as westerns, other favourites are The Last of the Mohicans and definitely The New World . There was a good miniseries on the AMC channe...

Personally, I can't wait for Iron Man 2. I only hope it doesn't disappoint the way that Superman Returns and Spider-Man 3 did. (Even though Thomas Haden Church was incredible ... but now I'm going off-topic!)

Unfortunately some friends want me to watch it with them but this is kind of impossible! If I watch it, I'm gonna watch it alone. What do you guys think? Hmm ... that's a tough one. Personally, I feel that Lost in Translation is a very subtle, intimate experience best enjoyed alone. I remember that...

Lost in Translation - Charlotte Poster

Hi everyone! I want to apologize in advance if something like this isn't allowed, but I recently ran across a beautiful Lost in Translation poster online ... and I can't seem to find it anywhere! http://i49.tinypic.com/a1d0k.jpg Has anybody seen this poster for sale before? I've looked through Amazo...

I received Charlotte, too. :)

'Wild Hogs'. Don't bother. Just don't. I love your reviews, Tombo. Short and sweet! I recently saw Avatar . I agree with most reviewers; it's an epic retelling of Walt Disney's Pocahontas , and it's all spectacle ... but still a pretty incredible experience. I was tremendously skeptical to see it i...

The 420 reference happens when Bob, early on in the film, cannot sleep and looks at his digital clock. It reads 4:20 AM. Then Lydia's annoying fax comes through ...

samwright8380, these are absolutely incredible!

I love your subtle Lost in Translation references, too ... like capturing the Starbucks where the filming crew shot Charlotte in the Shibuya crosswalk.

And, of course, the stuffed owls! :D Absolutely adorable!
