Re: Will Charlotte and John’s marriage last?

I always wondered why Charlotte married John. They don’t seem like a very good match to me. John doesn’t seem to be Charlotte’s intellectual equal by any means. Charlotte is shy and maybe John, being an outgoing photographer, approached her (attracted to her beauty) and flattered her, giving her mo...

Pockets - I don't care much for Scarlett either. It's a shame she hasn't been able to really take off in a career that seemed so promising after LiT and "Pearl Earring". Her roles have been less than impressive in my opinion. She's young and maybe will mature into an actor with a greater range. It ...

Re: I see I have to do this AGAIN! ;)

And Scarlett Johansson's from Tribute TV in Canada. INTERVIEWER. Because a lot of people I talked to, you know, did want them to get together, but I -- Miss JOHANSSON. Ew, no -- INTERVIEWER. Yes. Miss JOHANSSON. -- why? INTERVIEWER. I agree. Miss JOHANSSON. No. But she loves her husband, the husban...

I only saw LIT for the first time this last Saturday night and loved it. And I was quite delighted to find this forum. :) I am happily living with my boyfriend of three years. While we consider ourselves to be soulmates, there are no immediate plans to marry. We have three dogs and two cats. I'm int...

I forgot, my boyfriend's aunt wrote a book called Matchlines about relationship analysis. See if your library has it to borrow. Very good reading. She has a website: www.askdrmolly.com

Try to get your daughter off the internet. That is not a healthy place for her social life to live. Thankfully, my 25 year old boyfriend abhors myspace and the ilk. His sister is always sending him invites, but he keeps refusing. But she was also in a sorority when in college, yet another social evi...

I just helped an internet friend through a crisis with her boyfriend. She's 24 or 25 and he's 28. I think that he's not right for her anyway. Too controlling and has major trust issues. He doesn't like any guys, even happily married ones, interacting with her. The crisis was him trying to break it o...

It's just human nature. Men and women are wired differently, but we are meant to compliment each other, all that yin and yang stuff. However, our current society is particularly shallow at present.

In terms of internet dating, guys have it much easier imo. Men are more visually stimulated, so the women are insecure that they won't meet up with their date's standards of hotness. I feel that women are looking less for a handsome guy and more for someone with inner qualities. As I said before, wi...

Bob also has his young children to think of. If there had been no kids in the marriage, Bob would have been more likely to leave his wife for Charlotte by the end of the movie, seeing the lack of love or affection from his wife during their movie conversations.

Of course we should consider that Bob and Charlotte's encounter was brief and outside their normal environments. It could be that if they were able to spend a lot of time together back in the States, things wouldn't be as perfect any longer. As to virtual internet friendships, I'm a member of severa...

I'm between optimistic and bittersweet... poignant? I feel that if you keep and open mind/heart, every day has possibilities. I've met and interacted with many interesting people of all ages and walks of life, and it's because I am open to interaction. Several weeks ago, I was at the grocery store i...

As a woman, I understood Charlotte's frustration, but being older than her, I know that men just aren't very good at expressing their emotions in words. My boyfriend is actually very verbal for his sex, but there sometimes, there is a time delay to when it comes out. lol But I also understand that b...

My first viewing was January 20th evening on the Encore Love channel. Watched it with my boyfriend. We both really enjoyed the movie, but liked it in different ways.

There are two upcoming showings on January 30th at 2pm and 9pm.

Will be buying the dvd of it soon though. :)

About five or six years ago, I would be in GA once a month on business for four days. I had a good friend who was much older than me, married and in the same business. I had a boyfriend back home. We would have three dinners together every month and it was wonderful. I loved his company, his sense o...

I'd like to say that I hope Charlotte divorces John quickly and spends some time (even years) finding herself as a person and becoming a successful writer or even playwright. Years down the road, Bob ibuys the film rights to one of her works and they resume their friendship. Maybe by then Bob has be...
