I am 33 years old, but I agree that teenagers could really understand the film, not all, maybe a small minority even. But this discussion made me think back to when I was 16 or 17, I really loved and totally understood and felt such strong feelings for some "art house" films such as the French film...

I recently bought this book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/4770029373/qid=1112666093/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/103-0772590-7590256?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 it's very nice, but it does not feature the temples that Charlotte visited (Heian Shrine and Nanzenji Temple). recommended if you like...

well I finally got to see this today. (Australia can be so far behind), I actually loved it :) I don't understand all the lukewarm reviews it got, especially from critics that like Wes Anderson, it's exactly the same as everything else he does. Except it was better, there was more feeling than usual...
