As I write this I'm listening to the Lost in Translation soundtrack and looking out the window of a high-rise luxury hotel at the blinking red lights atop every skyscrapper. The hotel is next to Zojoji Temple where the monks ring a large temple bell six times each day...

Bob was prolly thinkin the same thing any man in his situation would've been.. Should I stay or not? I think the fact that he called his wife as soon as he got back to his room suggests he wanted to get some sort support from her... to validate his decision to leave Charlotte and respect their indiv...

Pitman - There have been occassions when the board members here get together for a simultaneous viewing of the movie. A day and time is set - then the viewers get into the chat room here and everyone pauses at some point in the opening of the movie - and then at some designated time everyone hits "...

Since seeing the movie late last year on DVD, I've watched it about 10 times now. I try to space it out so as not to get oversaturated. And yeah, usually late at night.. alone .. after having tucked my boys in and worked on any new projects I need to finish for film school.. with a good whiskey.. :r...

not to worry Pitman :) Although it does seem that way, there are still peeps that come here and take comfort that this place exists and that we can come here to find some other people who were touched by this phenomenal movie. The depth that this movie hits me I still have problems putting into word...

That just added more poignancy to the moment and just made the parting that much more bittersweet... especially the look back that Charlotte gives Bob as she's walking away and Bob doesnt even see it. Makes me think that if Bob lo...

The Static Age - Amphibian Awesome music.. hard to explain but its a group that has influences from the 80's and 90's (The Cure, The Police, etc.) but puts a contemporary twist. Heres a comment about them from AMP magazine: "Holy Sh!t, everyone who likes anything, ranging from THE CURE to THE POLIC...
