I also ordered from this seller and mine came today so thank you for pointing it out. I'm probably ruining it right now by actually listening to it on my ancient turntable but I couldn't resist.

Isn't that the Hurley logo (hurley.com)? Given that they're surfers that follows. I don't know what it's doing on the bottle though.

While Charlotte was clearly angry I think Ebert's use of "startled" is a good one, and I think I know where he is coming from. Bob and Charlotte's relationship wasn't about sex. Yet Bob's infidelity came out of nowhere. I remember thinking when I first saw the movie how sudden and unexpected it was....

Fantastic photos. Thanks so much for sharing them. It's awesome to see the locations from the movie in a different way, as well as some new ones.

Two of my favorites aren't on Youtube anymore but I have local copies.

Trespassers William - My Hands Up. A Chinese youtube clone still has it, though the video quality is pretty bad.

Coldplay - Talk, which was made by one of the members here.

That's hilarious, and so awkward. I don't think it's the same person though. The one translating for Weird Al was probably an actual translator, while in LiT it appears to be an actress (Kei Takyo) who I think looks too young to have been on that show in 1984. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1440091/resu...

Up in the Air

Anyone else seen this yet?

I thought it was good, certainly for this crowd. Some of the dialogue was a little off and the product placements got tiresome, but the performances were all good and I liked the overall tone.

You can listen to the whole song on his Myspace page:

It's decent enough, but I think I'll take the movie version (though I'm obviously biased). The woo-hoo is much more emphatic in the movie too.

(I'll change my avatar back in honor of the woo-hoo guy!)

I'm still here, just been super busy with work and life and it ended up that I had no free weekends in September and most of October to try and organize an anniversary simul-view. Still plan to get in on the chapter by chapter stuff eventually, but at this rate they'll be finished by the time I even...

Watched this last night, was able to track down a copy. I don't know if there are Studio Ghibli fans around here but Cafe Lumiere really reminded me of Whisper of the Heart, in that it's very slow paced and focuses more on the characters and surroundings, whereas the plot is simple and secondary. Th...

They never introduce themselves either. Maybe Charlotte knows Bob by reputation, but he wouldn't know her name.

Just have to assume it happened off screen. Maybe they continued to talk after the first "Wish I could sleep" conversation at the bar.

Late here but I saw them when they came through Seattle this spring. It was everything I hoped it to be, especially the 'holocaust' at the end during You Made Me Realise. Awesome to feel the sound crawling all over your skin and hear the aural tricks your brain plays under such an assault. They didn...

Another good film; Spanish language, only two actors, one hotel room and lots of dialogue. This quote from a user on imdb was appropriate: "It's "Before Sunrise", but instead of Vienna you get a motel room, and lots of steamy sex."

A list of other good films

Thanks to Netflix instant movies I've found a number of other movies recently that I think people here might enjoy. Wendy & Lucy http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152850/ Independent film starring Michelle Williams who gives a very powerful performance. Not a love story, but it's a very subtle and unders...
