I disagree with alot of this. I don't think When Harry met Sally has all that much chemistry at all. And the Titanic scene at the bow of the ship had alot of chemistry, soft voices, soft hand touching. I think the rest of the movie did too. Breakfast at Tiffany's and Pretty Woman were at most equal ...

Re: Weird experience yesterday while shopping
the intro song, Girls - Death In Vegas, is just a superb song for this movie, and for the intro. The 'aah-aah' is hypnotic, it sounds like ocean tide, it immediately gives that insomniac dreamy feeling. The right music is essential in an atmospheric movie, Sofia Coppola rules.

Re: What was it about this movie?
I find it so fascinating that this happens to so many people as it does, and that the effect is very much the same in all these people. Sometimes it seems to me that the story in the movie and its treatment makes people have the "in love" experience in a very visceral way, the feeling of being in lo...

Re: A poem some of you may like
I liked it.
IMO it would be better if he'd ditched the last 2 stanzas, and ended it with the great:
For of all sad words of tongue or pen,
The saddest are these: "It might have been!"
one my favourite lines

Quentin and Sofia
CANNES, France -- Directors Quentin Tarantino and Sofia Coppola finally went public with their romance Wednesday on opening night of the Cannes Film Festival. No, they didn't declare, "Hey, world, we're an item." They did the next best thing, walking the red carpet together. She smiled. He gave the ...

DVD quality
I just got my DVD of LIT here in Australia. I'm not sure about the quality. Some scenes seem darker than I recall they were in the cinema, and it also seems cropped.(my copy is 1.85:1)

Re: Girl With A Pearl Earing
I agree Girl With a Pearl Earring is wonderful visually, Vermeer's paintings come to life. To anyone who has the DVD - is there much discussion on the cinematography and art design? Does anyone know of a website with some in depth discussion of these for this movie? I found the story to be a bit of ...
