Why we choose the mates we do, a complicated issue. Since I only know my own true motivation in this decision, I will use myself as an example, and take from it what you will. As I child, I believed that my home life was normal. My parents, and society in general told me that my parent's loved me, s...

A local pop culture writer in the Tribune commented on this by saying "who knew train wrecks were hot?" (referring to Lindsay Lohan). I was asked lately who my top five movie stars were in pure attraction (I took it to mean overall - physical beauty and some sort of "something".) It was tough becua...

Glad to see you back! Your pottery pictures were likely removed by Bob-San as part of your hiatus from the board. I would imagine he removed other personal posts and pictures as well. Have you continued classes? Your work seems to have gotten a bit more intricate in the outside detailing. I really ...

"In Flanders Fields" by: John McCrae In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were l...

My first coil pot. So far, I enjoy hand building with coils the best. The only nice thing I can say about this one, is that it holds the cat's water well. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/Ithildriel/Pottery/Firstcoil.jpg A coil pot I made in San Jose. What I learned a lot making this one...

At that same class I made this vase. All pieces are fired at the end of the 4th week, the 5th week we glaze. When this piece came back, I saw that it was chipped, so it was the last piece that I glazed. I just used the colors that were left at my work station, not enough of one to do the whole thing...

Pottery Classes
I could have sworn I subjected all of you to my 'art' from my first pottery class. Apparently I hadn't, and am about to rectify that. Feel free to leave now if you are squeamish. I have always wanted to take up pottery, and recently decided that there was no time like the present. I took a 6 ...

Japanese Blood Types and Personality
I saw a post on the soap box about Japanese blood types, and thought it was an interesting concept, and found this article regarding it by doing a google search. Japanese Blood Types and Personality Every Japanese celebrity writeup and every anime character description with any claim to authority gi...

There was never any need to delete this thread, but maybe you do. I don't understand this sentence. I suppose that I should have asked for this one to be locked. I feel that locking threads should be up to the board administrator. Why would anyone feel that they had a right to post their opinion, a...

Same old Ith... You're the one that bumped up this thread from the dead and accused me of lashing out at you. And just to refresh your memory, you're the one that struck out at me first in that other thread. I wasn't the instigator of that mess. Now how about we stay out of each other's threads and...

Post your baby picture(s)
I only have a couple, and the quality is bad, because I don't have a scanner, so they are digital pictures of old pictures. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/Ithildriel/PornoIthi2.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/Ithildriel/1year3months2.jpg Post your baby pictures, if you dare.

Welcome back Ith. I don't consider this thread to have been created to "lash out at you in the heat of the moment." I didn't want to sully your vent thread and just wanted to state my thoughts on the subject of interacting with others on an internet message board. At the time, you were the only wit...
