Lost

#1 Post by Autumn Child » Thu Aug 11, 2005 3:36 pm

Lost aired for the first time in the UK last night on channel 4.

I watched the first two episodes, and it was a bit of a let down.

the advert was amazing it was like a perfume advert, bu tthe programme wasnt that good

what do you all think?

I think I saw a few episodes awhile back, which didn't really catch my eye but it wasn't bad.

i was expecting something really wierd and well shot with haunting music...not something predictable that is only wierd because 'theres a polar bear on a tropical island' rather than creating a wierd atmosphere liek the advert did...

I never saw the advert, but the show itself was reasonably interesting for me

Keep watching without expectations or listening to the hype.
After awhile it draws you in.
At least it did for me.
I'm hooked and love it!

What are everyone else's opinion on this show? I missed the first season and am considering purchasing the DVD set. I have been TiVo-ing (not a word,I know) this new season, but haven't really watched a full episode, and the parts I see, I don't follow because of lack of info. So far it looks ok,but is it GREAT,or is that just hype?

you need to have seen the first episode with the plane crash to get the full effect probably (if you are going to get it).
it was a pretty good start for a show, quite interesting. as television goes.
but not GREAT. imo. I only ever half-watched it, when I did.
I only ever half-watch anything on tv actually. it encourages that by being structured around intermittent ads.

Now I understand what you meant by "probably". Thanks.

gawd do i love this show!!! i like how they've picked up the pace this new season, they havent dawdled on revelations as much as before. to anyone watching this show regularly, i need someone to discuss with!!!

also should add tho that it still isnt as good as the new season of 24, or my old favourite, twin peaks. classic show that one

Twin Peaks! Too funny man! I saw those in first run. Again showing my age! :)

Lost is awesome. I am a few eps behind. I can't say I am that enthralled with 24. Boston Legal on the other hand. . . Shatner r00lz!
