Song in strip club?

#1 Post by lost in translation » Wed Sep 01, 2004 6:33 pm

Can anyone please tell me what the artist and name of the song played in the strip joint is? The "sucking on my titties" song. I must know! It didn't look like it was on the soundtrack.

thanks in advance!

The song is called, "F$*K the Pain Away", the artist is Peaches, and it's on her album, the "Teaches of Peaches".

The song is very techno-punk, and that scene probably wasn't necessary in the film, and it's the reason for the R rating in the US. However, it's a priceless scene showing how polite while uncomfortable Bob Harris is there waiting for Charlotte to show up. I ROFL when Bob thanked the stripper bent over as Charlotte and he left the club! The song was "dead on" in regard to how Bob and Charlotte individually were feeling about their lives while in Toyko.

Thanks for the information!

I think that strip club scene was in the movie for a reason. Obviously, the movie doesn't appeal to younger viewers, and having that scene in there limited who could see it in theatres. A more mature crowd understands the film.

The song is transcribed in the "Extras" section of this website.

Yea there must be a reason it was in there.
Maybe to show another side of Tokyo life. And that
the strip bars are different there. And kind of surreal!
