Hey guys,
I saw a link to this list, and I just knew Lost in Translation would have to be on it. Fortunately it is; just thought you all might find it interesting:

The guys at Budget Travel really did their homework,
it is well worth seeing the article.

Thanks for pointing it out, Greg !

great stuff :D

it even does a good job of further reinforcing the fact that i cant afford to visit tokyo.

i'll have to add a few of those other movies to my watch list :P

Well, as much as I would like to visit Tokyo and Japan overall, I wouldn't want to move there. You would have to go to work, have worries etc. which would over time destroy the magical experience.

Same with me; there's no way i would be able to live the busy life of cell phones, briefcases, and PDA's that so many enjoy in big cities like Tokyo or NYC. I live in a small city now with no public transit, and I just took a trip to Toronto recently. It wasn't so bad but i was overjoyed when i got home and everything was familiar again. You'd be having mini LiT experiences for years living in a big city like Tokyo because until you've seen everything, you're still going to be lost in some way.
