LIT Wallpaper

#1 Post by Kenobi » Thu Dec 16, 2004 2:34 pm

Hi, I've just joined the Forum and love the discussion that are in here. I was just wondering if anyone has any good desktop wallpapers. The ones posted of the Tokyo skyline were very good. I'm looking particularly looking for Charlotte ones and Bob in his tux.

u can make your own wallpaper...if you have the DVD that is. You simply need to take a screen shot of a frame that you want. You can play with it in photoshop or programs like it. i did one of scarlett's butt, check out that topic in the forum

I'm not sure how to do that. I tried using a screenshot program but it took a shot of a blank black screen.

Which program(s) do I need to capture a particular frame from a DVD?

well i have a mac, and the program i use is simply called "DVDCapture" and it works well. simple but it does its job. i suggest it if you have a mac. if you have a windows im sure there tons of programs. I'm sure the programs have simple instructions....

there are a few ways to do it. there are a few programs out there that work well. EasyCapture is one of them. you can probably find it on download.com or tucows.com. another way is to use a paint program like photoshop that has a screen capturer built in. this sometimes lets you capture just one area of the screen, which is neat.
the way i prefer though, (if you're using a windows pc) is to just hit your Print Screen key. it will instantly take a screenshot and copy it into the clipboard and you can paste it into any paint or image editing program. i tried it with my copy of the DVD, also for the scarlett's butt thread, and it worked well.
I'd rather be a gear in a big, deterministic, physical machine than just some random swerving.

I found a great site for some hi-res images of Tokyo. I get my wallpapers from there all the time. Enjoy!
