I have to go to a fundraiser for my children's school that night. I might be able to catch you all in the chatroom near the end of the movie. I am a cashier for our fundraiser so I have to check people out after the auction. I won't be home until midnight (CST) or so.

That's OK. I participated in the first simu-view in November and it was a lot of fun. Don't rearrange it for me. All I ask is that someone copy/paste a transcript of the chatroom dialogue on the board, OK???

Hmm... This seems very intriguing, and I believe I could make it then. If not, I can still watch it by myself while reading the transcript.

Sounds great! I'm not sure if I have to work, but if I do, my shift always ends at 12 (11 EST) so I'll only be like ten minutes late.
I'd rather be a gear in a big, deterministic, physical machine than just some random swerving.

11:30pm?

#30 Post by Guest » Sun Jan 30, 2005 11:46 am

Why don't we make it 11:30pm then and try to accomodate a couple more folks?!

I myself have a function to attend (party!) and may not get home till 12 or 1230. But dont hold it up for me!

Thanks!

Either of those times work for me, unless something comes up last minute.

Looking forward to it.

during a simul-view, everyone comes into the chat at the same time, and we all watch LiT. (on our own separate TV's of course)

What exactly is a Simul-view? Is that when all the members watch LiT at the same time?

basically we all join a chat at a pre-determined time (in this case, 11:30 pm eastern). Once we're all there, we start the movie; some people have it on DVD, or VHS or even on the computer. Hopefully everyone is within 5-10 seconds of each other while the movie is playing. Then, relax and watch LiT, and talk about it at the same time in the chat. -- hopefully this time the server doesn't crash :D What do you talk about? Anything; what you think about a scene, a character, its open to all topics concerning the movie, its crew, etc. Theres a transcript from the last simul-view someone posted somewhere, you can get a sense of what goes on during on of these

that's it, its pretty simple! Hope to see everyone there! :D
