my rating is (1) catherine lambert; (2) scarlett johanssen; (3) bill murray; (4) anna faris.

(1) is natural. she is a professional singer. (2) i don't know johanssen's background. but she is an excellent singer. i was surprised. (4) anna faris looks a good singer. but actually she can't sing.

what do you think? javascript:emoticon(':)')

The subject of singers in LiT is so sparse that I think you've just bled the conversation dry before it even began.

Yes by far :D
I also thought the singing in the movie was subpar to say the least but I forgot about him.
I'd rather be a gear in a big, deterministic, physical machine than just some random swerving.

if you're talking about pure talent, i think u have to go with catherine lambert, but i just think she's weird. I like the "so into you" guy but i also like scarlett's version of "brass in pocket" her voice isn't horrible and it works so perfectly in that scene

As did Bob's voice in that scene.

For me the best singers (in terms of the actors) were Scarlett Johansson she's got a great voice :P and has great performance in the movie and in the karaoke scene and Bill Murray is a genius during the entire movie and has also a great karaoke scene 8) .

In terms of pure vocal talent I'd say Scarlett Johansson. In terms of expression emotion that the character is feeling..definitely Bill Murray. Both sang songs that represented what that character was feeling. Bill Murray's performance of "More Than This" was perfect in conveying his inner feelings.
I don't consider the lounge singers because they are professionals and of course they would be the best. Charlie Brown was fun to watch while he was performing...it looked like Johnny Rotten possessed him for a sec.

bill's performance was very strong, conveyed the emotions perfectly, but being a guy i preferred scarlett. as an all round performance, hers was very sultry. but then, thats not the qu...

well, catherine is the only one who actually is a singer although Scarlett didn't do that bad either and Bill should take Bryan Ferry's place on the Roxy Music reunion cause he was good as well.

**The Soulsolito woman (name mentioned on the first post) of corse its professional singer.

** the "So Into You" singer. Cool! Love the song.

** Scarlett surprised me too. She sounds great.Loved the act she pulled to flirt with Bob.(tipsy)

**Bill Murray has a beautiful voice once he sings..."more than this " sounded really good. (drunk!)

** Anna I think did the bad singing on purpose maybe...but she sounded like a joke (well, she was)

**Charlie was awesome!! i laughed my being off...( he was drunk!)

-this is my rating. From top to bottom.
Nothing is more beautiful than something that will not last
