What Does That Sign Say?

#1 Post by adrien950 » Thu Sep 15, 2005 12:25 pm

In the intro seen where Bob is arriving in Tokyo, after he rubs his eyes when he sees his billboard, there is a electronic sign that is in Japanese that the camera focus' on for a bit...just curious, probably not important, but does anyone know what it says :?:

If you put all the signs in the movie together, you can read them backwards to find out the whisper!"

It most likely is the advertising slogan for the product, Suntory whiskey. "For relaxing times, make it Suntory time."

It's the name of a Japanese drugstore. I don't think it has any significance, to be honest. It just looks cool.

Thx justlikehoney!

You know... it's little obscure things like that sign that push us all into growing as people. Now when someone asks me " Hey, why did you decide to learn Japanese?" , my answer will be..."Well, you see, there was this sign in this movie I love........"

Oh, yeah!
The camera focuses on the very big and colorful sign. It's so very cool. I don't know what it means, but if you say it's a drugstore : ok.
Nothing is more beautiful than something that will not last
