More than this...
Hello there everyone!
I am a new member of the WEAREAWAKE Forum. I am looking for a threat where i could introduce myself, if there is.
I wanted to say that this film caused me severe depression. It might sound like I am a bimbo or some retarded chick. I am regular, but still after I saw this movie I felt so bad. I so wanted Bob and Charlotte to at least end up with each other's phone numbers or what not. Anyway, I am just not used to saying good-bye so radically, the way they did. I am feeling much better now because of your forums. I have just read all of these opinions of what really happened and not only that but why the movie end that way and i have come up with my own conclusion. <They needed each other to change and become better persons>. Think about it.
* Anyway, I am so glad there is a Forum for this movie. Seriously, no movie has ever affected me or touched me like Lost In Translation did. Bob, the site admin, YOU ROCK!!
*Kiss to you all fellow LIT lovers.*

Nothing is more beautiful than something that will not last
Silence: Welcome, I am new here also.
I wouldn't call their goodbye radical. They got to kiss and hug and Bob's whispering in her ear made movie history. That last litte happenstance meeting brought the ending together for me in a beautiful way.
The sad moment at the end of the film is the look on Bob's face when they're in the hotel taking pictures and Charlotte is walking to the elevator.
On a personal level, the cab ride to Narita after the meeting was another sad moment for me. I've done that a few times and it's always a tough, melancholy ride.

Oh, thanks I'll try The Lounge.
and, yes the cab rides are tough. I just saw the movie like an hour ago. I can't help but feeling sad, it's like they don't know if they will see each other again ever you know?
But, hey just like Bob said it's not all hopeless.

Oh, and what comments do you have on the scene when Bob's singing this song "more than this"? Wasn't that when they showed each other what they were feeling, I love Charlotte's expression like: "wow, you are wonderful" kind of a look. NIIICCEE.
