Anyone found any other LiT fan sites? Or Bill ones?

Just wondering if anyone has found any they seem hard to find. Or I am looking in the wrong areas. :|

Before I found WAW, I found another site similar to this, but there wasnt nearly as much content, and next to no activity (or message board). I think it was just simply a fan listing or something (purpose? :? )

Other than that, I haven't had any luck, thankfully WAW continues to satisfy my conversational needs, and I think we can officially dub our friend Bob as a pioneer for opening the first and only of such sites
I'd rather be a gear in a big, deterministic, physical machine than just some random swerving.

What's wrong, BT, we're not good enough for you? :P

I actually prefer not having a lot of sites out there, it keeps us all from splintering-off.
It's nice to have just one central location for all things LiT.

And face it, you just couldn't ask for a better group of people to spend time with.

There's a group on livejournal, but this is pretty much the only active place, and we've wrung 'bout all the is to wring from it, excluding a surprise visit from Sofia, Bill, or Scarlett."

Obviously Bob's done a great job keeping this site going, but if I remember right someone else ran areyouawake.org way back when, and Bob took over after that site went down?

From the memberlist I see this board got started in April 2004 (almost 2 years ago) and johnmonkey is the member who has contributed the longest (other than Bob).

I also remember reading about the "merger" of areyouawake to weareawake or maybe it was a change in name or something.

History lesson please - Bob or JM?

Didn't know about that LJ community. Have you ever mentioned this site in there before?

Some chick owned areyouawake.whatever but gave up on it. I can honestly say I don't remember a blasted thing about it now.

But, see:

Yea and the memory has a way of dulling the pain over time too so you're better off not remembering a blasted thing!

There are other posts on this forum about the old site but you need to do a search for them whoever is asking about it. It's a touchy subject given what happened so people don't like to talk about it. I used to have archived pages from that old site on here but decided after some time to remove them as they were not relevant anymore plus she complained about that. I did however save and put on here some of the good content like the icons, the director interpretation etc. I have more I want to put on the site but just don't have time now. But it's on the list!

Also there used to be a livejournal community by the same name, areyouawake, owned by the same girl, but she deleted that one too and now I looked and it's a "friends" only board now. Wow how nice and what fun.

I am the exact opposite of "that girl" in that she creates and disposes of web sites quickly while I never get rid of anything I create online. The thing is as much as I would like to say what I really think of that girl and I think I am not alone in that among the early folks here, it would not be in keeping with the spirit of the board and in the end as you see when life hands you lemons and you make lemonade :D something better came out of that and we are all the more enriched by that. So maybe she did us all a favor!

I dreamed that Scarlett Johansson was a good friend of mine last night. I remember me rushing up the stairs to get my Lost in Translation photo book and DVD for her to sign. I've must have had at least 3 dreams about her! Is there something wrong with me?

If pin-ups are your proclivity, pfui.
Hell, I'd do Bill myself."
