That is a remarkable picture; may I ask where you got it from? The clarity and brightness make it look almost CGI - and yet it's too detailed and precise. I have never seen a picture of a city at night that crisp and clean - but maybe Tokyo has all American cities beat in that regard. It certainly looks new all over.

Yup, great site. Great pics. Makes me drool. And yeah, Fly, what would be more romantic than meeting your Charlotte at the New York bar?? (after seeing her in the elevator and not remembering, of course.)

:D

I downloaded a ton of those Tokyo night photos; it makes for a most amazing screensaver slideshow (and if you're feeeling a little corny, try playing "Sometimes" and "Girls" while you watch it =P)

Here are some shots of Tokyo published in the current issue of "125 Magazine". The photographer took these photos from different hotels he's stayed at. The third and fourth photos on the top row were taken from the Park Hyatt.

That's really nice I think I'm going to order a copy of that magazine if I can't find a copy locally.

I've tried to find a copy locally and since I don't live in a big city anymore, the only place that may have it is Barnes and Noble, but even then only a few copies and when they get a shipment seems to vary.

From the 125 website, a back issue of that magazine #9 (?) seems to be 15.51 GBP shipped to the US, so about $31.00 US.

I actually made a screen saver out of about 80-90% of those images...I was going to give it to Bob to upload but it was around 200 MB. Took me a few hours to expand each image, save them, then make the screen saver...very time consuming but well worth it!

Initially it looked like all copies of this issue of 125 Magazine were sold out on their website. However I was just looking again and it is only the UK cover version that is sold out. There are still some of the international cover editions left. So I just ordered one! About $43 in USD most of it being for postage. But I can't wait to get it!!!

I got the magazine already! It looks like they shipped it from New York. I was expecting it to come from England. It was in a box so in perfect condition! It's a big heavy art photo magazine.

The only photos of Tokyo are the one photo spread mentioned here. The rest are a lot of artsy model or still life photos, some avante garde type stuff, etc. There is one spread that are black and white studies of criss-crossing telephone pole wires which I did not find interesting at all. There is a shoot someone did at the indoor sea dome which is cool.

Anyway according to the Tokyo photographer, the photo Ben-B posted here is in fact the Park Hyatt. There is a similer photo in the magazine which says it is the Park Hyatt. Same building, same glass top on the roof as seen in LIT and same surrounding buildings.
