Welcome! We're still here, but I like to think the forum has moved from being a bustling conversation place to a quiet library of accumulated thoughts from the 11+ years it has been open. Pour yourself a whiskey (Suntory of course), you'll always be welcome.

Thanks Bob San for the reminder email! Much appreciated.

I recently wrote a song based on the movie and posted it to Youtube with a fan video you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q32wv6IIsiI

My brother listened to my song and said, you know, I gotta see that movie again. He had only seen it once before. After viewing it, he wrote back to me and said it was good, but he probably won't watch it again.

It's funny how some people just don't get it or connect to it. Whereas, I've seen the movie 70 times now!

Even though I don't get the same "kick in the gut" feeling I used to when I was in my honeymoon stage with this film, I still thoroughly enjoy it and live it.

Welcome Atlanta Bill. I like your story. Curious, did you ever check out the hotel and the bar and grill when you were in Tokyo?
