The Bill Murray Martini

#1 Post by orange camo » Sat Aug 02, 2008 7:44 pm

Here's a martini I came up with:

The Bill Murray Martini

1 oz. Whiskey
1 oz. Amaretto
1/2 oz. Chocolate Liqueur or (even better) Dark Chocolate Liqueur
Splash of Vanilla Vodka

Shake with ice. Pour into martini glass.
Optional: Garnish with an Orange Twist (a long, thin slice of orange peel)

Recipe originated by Brandon Lawrence, 1-5-2008.

Ok cool but did you actually taste it and is it good?!?!?!

I'm going to have to try and make it.

What kind of Whiskey?! Yea in the event one does not have the
coveted Suntory whiskey . . . . 8)

Yep, I've had a bartender make it for me, it tastes pretty good. I was surprised that the whiskey was so subdued. It's sweet, but not too sweet. I didn't ask for a specific whiskey, any of the top brands are good.

I'd love to try it with Suntory Whiskey though, anyone know where I can buy some in the States?

Variation

Here's a variation on my Bill Murray Martini:

The Lost In Translation Martini:

1 oz. Whiskey
1 oz. Amaretto
1/2 oz. Chocolate Liqueur or Dark Chocolate Liqueur
Splash of Sake

Shake with ice. Pour into martini glass.
Optional: Garnish with an Orange Twist (a long, thin slice of orange peel)
