Hello fellow LIT enthusiasts. FRT here, I felt I should say hello after viewing my newly purchased Lost In Translation Blu-Ray Disc. :) It truly brought back to me a familiar feeling from my first viewing in theaters. Anyway, It's been way too long, how is everyone doing here? :D

P.S. Shall we schedule a blu-ray viewing of LIT soon?

How is the Blu-ray transfer? Any noticable upgrades? Any new extras on the disc relative to the DVD?

Unfortunately, no. I believe it was just a direct transfer from the dvd. Some scenes were questionable, but that might be wishful thinking. :)

However, the bluray menu is kind of refreshing. Not that that really matters though lol.

I bought the Blu-ray last week and have yet to watch the movie for the 50th time. I'm thinking I should upgrade my TV before the next viewing.

Can anybody else confirm that the quality is no better than the regular DVD?

I haven't watched my new LiT Blu-ray yet either, but man, why can't this great film get a serious release? If only Criterion could get their hands on it!

I believe that this may be a direct port of the hd-dvd release. I have the hd-dvd version and will pick up the blu-ray eventually. The potential for the transfer was apparently a bit limited due to the way the film was originally shot.

ForRelaxingTimes, good to see you on here again! :D As far as how I'm doing, things change over the years, some better than others, but I still love this movie.

I think in my case since I'm upgrading not only the movie to Blu-ray, but the TV as well, I should see a marked improvement! Can't wait!!

I'm always happy to do a simulview although as I check the site occasionally may need a bit of advance notice! Also would need to plan around work, girlfriend etc...
