Finding Bill Murray (When He's Not Doing a Movie)

#1 Post by phillygalinutah » Tue Jun 08, 2004 10:27 pm

Bill's quite a busy man having loads of FUN!

Here's two recent links about him:

1 - Bill's Visit at the Belmont Stakes (My Hometown)

Here's an article about Bill's and the winner horse's trainer reaction of Smarty
Jones' loss at the Belmont.

2 - A May 29 Boston.com article about Bill picking up his 2003 Northeast League championship ring Thursday night before a game against the Quebec Les Capitales at Campanelli Stadium.

Bill showed his ring off on the Letterman show on June 7.

#2 Post by phillygalinutah » Mon Jun 14, 2004 10:23 pm

Another Bill fan posted news that Bill Murray is a special guest tonight (June 14) at a Brooklyn Bridge Walk to Benefit the Poets House.

Here's hoping he recites some French poetry! :D Anyone in NY lucky enough to attend it??

Poets Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge
In Ninth Annual Bridge Walk to Benefit Poets House

Monday, June 14, 6:30pm

Scores of poetry lovers are expected to take part in the Ninth Annual Poetry Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge on 14th June 2004. Special guests Bill Murray and Billy Collins (the former US Poet Laureate) will join Sandra Alcosser (Poet in Residence at the Central Park Zoo), Galway Kinnell, Tracie Morris and Marie Ponsot in reading great verse inspired by New York City. The evening will also feature appearances by the Honourable C. Virginia Fields (Manhattan Borough President) and the Honourable Marty Markowitz (Brooklyn Borough President). The walk will be followed by a festive supper at nearby St. Anne's Warehouse, where Robert Bly will be presented with the Elizabeth Kray Award for Service to Poetry. Proceeds from the event will go to Poets House, a 45,000 volume poetry archive and literary centre in SoHo. Tickets for the walk start at $150.00.
