Yes its related because Giovanni Ribisi is in it!!!!
He plays Dex, a science guy sidekick to Jude Law.
We saw it opening night and enjoyed it.
It's brilliant to look at especially if you like Art Deco.
There is a big Art Deco exhibit at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts now
too by the way.
The acting is also excellent. Critics have complained about the story/plot.
A movie like this with lesser actors would have suffered or at least have
been banished back to it's 1930's, 1950's B SciFi movie roots.
Instead as a fan of all this movie is based on, I found it quite
enjoyable!

One of the influences is an H.G Wells movie from 1936 called Things To Come. Also the World of Tommorow is reference to the 1939 world's fair
that was held in NY at the height of the Art Deco movement and was called
The World of Tommorow.
