A few films all you hopeless romantics should check out...

Discuss what movies Bill, Scarlett, and Sofia, the producers or musicians are working on or in now as well as film influences for LIT etc.

I'm a hopeless romantic too, and have a great love for cinema. Here's a few films I think those of you who enjoyed LIT might enjoy...

Before Sunrise
Before Sunset
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Roman Holiday
Amelie
Cinema Paradiso

Please add on...
I'm still lost...

When I was younger I really enjoyed a movie called "A Little Romance" with the then very young Diane Lane who now has a show on Lifetime or something.

"The Sure Thing" is a Rob Reiner movie starring Jon Cusack and Daphne Zuniga. Cusack and Zuniga's budding relationship is fun to watch and there are some classic one-liners ("I was in Paris once with my wife. Boy, am I glad she's dead.")

err...not sure if it qualifies in the same category as those, but i found the porch scene in the village, between bryce howard and joaquin phoenix, very romantic. bryce is brilliant in that movie, i crush real bad every time i watch it. shame the movie is so flawed

A few romantic movies ,as a guy, I find to really like:

LIT (of course!)
Eternal Sunshine..(sure it's romantic!)
Before Sunrise/Sunset
Roman Holiday
The Notebook
Titanic
Casablanca
An Affair to Remember
Sleepless In Seattle
You've Got Mail

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Check out "Brief Encounter" as well. It's an excellent British film made in the 40's directed by David Lean (or Lawrence of Arabia fame).

"Garden State", "Eternal Sunshine" and
"A Life Less Ordinary" which although not what you would consider a classic romantic movies, are very unconvential and original in design. The last two may also be a bit difficult to understand if you don't pay attention.

Bonnie and Clyde if your in a Godfathery mood.

in the mood for love, and 2046. in the mood for love is definitely the closest movie there is to LiT, probably because sofia coppola stated that she was heavily influenced by that film. and very good it is, too.
