Are these movies close to appearing? I haven't heard or seen anything.

I watched Match Point yesterday here in New York (Its release was on December 28th, and I wanted to see it then but the tickets sold out a half hour before the film started...) This movie is beautiful, very intense and has similar situations as the ones on "Crimes and Misdemeanors". I enjoyed it. Everyone should watch it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I liked "Crimes and Misdemeanors." It's supposed to open here in Atlanta in a week or so. There is going to be an article about it in our Sunday paper.

There was an article about it on its premiere date...I read it...The New York Times had the article.
Yes, the film will be everywhere on January, so I've read.

I read Joe Morgenstern's review in today's WSJ. Apparently, he liked everything except the denouement. He said Scarlett did a good job even though some of her lines were weak.

Okay, I finally saw "Match Point" yesterday. It is still playing at a theater in my neighborhood. Mostly I was disappointed.

When I had finished watching it, I thought of "Crimes and Misdemeanors" and how both movies dealt with getting rid of an edgy, temperamental woman. What a horrible topic! "Crimes" is a much bigger (and better) movie than "Match Point" and had a lot more going on in it than a troublesome relationship.

I liked the first two-thirds of "Match Point." It had Allen's great dialogue and warm textured settings. But by the last third, the movie had shrunk to the struggle between Chris and Nola and it seemed like I was watching a standard prime time TV crime show like "Law and Order."

I thought Scarlett did a good job. She succeeded in portraying a young woman who was caught in a bad place.

I just saw Match Point today, I liked it.
I haven't seen Crimes and Misdemeanors.

- spoilers-

I enjoyed the theme and handling of it. I liked Scarlett in this one. I didn't like her first scene, but I liked her in the rest, especially when she is horrified by the insults of her fiances mother, and when she was sad and suffering 'bad luck'. She looked very beautiful throughout the movie.
