A list of other good films

Thanks to Netflix instant movies I've found a number of other movies recently that I think people here might enjoy.

Wendy & Lucy
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152850/
Independent film starring Michelle Williams who gives a very powerful performance. Not a love story, but it's a very subtle and understated film with some very touching moments.

Conversations with Other Women
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435623/
Starring Aaron Eckhart and Helena Bonham Carter
This movie is shot in split-screen, so it takes a little getting used to, but it creates an interesting viewing experience where you can see the expressions of both actors at all times. Great dialogue.

2 Days in Paris
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0841044/
Starring Julie Delpy (Before Sunset/Sunrise) and Adam Goldberg
I think this movie was very much just Julie Delpy's self-indulgence, as her real parents play her character's parents, and Adam Goldberg's character could just as easily be Ethan Hawke's Jesse. It also ended too abruptly, but it did have some good Paris scenes and some 'lost in translation' moments.

La Vie en Rose (La Mome, official title)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450188/
Biopic about Edith Piaf, an early 20th century French singer. Not really related to LIT, but just a great all around film, and I definitely think Marion Cotillard deserves the Oscar she won.

Innocence
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0251141/
Story about 2 young lovers who meet again in their elder years and rekindle their relationship. It was a little kitschy and poorly written in places with a copout ending, but it's worth a watch if you're in the mood for another bittersweet love story.

All of those were available for streaming on Netflix, via a PC or Xbox360 if you have it set up.

Another good film; Spanish language, only two actors, one hotel room and lots of dialogue. This quote from a user on imdb was appropriate: "It's "Before Sunrise", but instead of Vienna you get a motel room, and lots of steamy sex."

En La Cama
