I am curious how many people in the forum are male or female. I think it's a fair question however some may be inclined to not reply. If you are offended by the question I would appreciate you either answering honestly or not answering at all.

Thank you.

well "snip" has a bunch of meanings, i'm GUESSING, that he means that boys are made out of various, little things...one meaning of snip is a small piece of somethign that has been cut, or "snipped", off....i dunno, best to let the author explain it..

Wow! Who woulda thunk it on the same board!!! :P

Snips. Probably an old english term like Bollux which to modern Americans
doesnt mean anything.

Here's something:

The origin of the "What are little boys made of" poem can be traced to the early 19th century - the battle of the sexes was raging even then! The words of "What are little boys made of" obviously reflect this, but what is the meaning of 'snips and snails'? Several interpretations have been suggested but the one with the most credibility is that the original words were in fact 'snips of snails' - the origin of snips meaning 'little bits of'. No redemption there for describing what little boys are made of'! And, of course, little girls love to hear that they are made of
"Sugar and spice and all things nice!
So according to this, boys are made up partly of snails
which are gross things and of course girls are just the opposite. :?
How closely do you think Bob and Charlotte fit these items?
Bob to me doesnt have much to do with puppy dog tails
or snails. What do you think? He's more like a fine aged wine.
Charlotte of course is all spice and so nice! ! 8)
