Phoenix on SNL

#1 Post by LostCalls » Sun Apr 05, 2009 4:58 pm

Phoenix, the band that plays the song "Too Young" (during the night out in which Bob and Charlotte momentarily dance together), appeared on Saturday Night Live last night (April 4, 2009). They played two songs from a new record, I think, and then played "Too Young" as the show's ending credits were rolling.

You can watch the performances (sadly not "Too Young") on Hulu.com:

Yea I was watching SNL on my DVR tonight and during the first song I thought hmmm they sound like a band I heard on LIT. Then when they did THE song from LIT I was like WOW yea IT IS THEM!!!! But the other song sounded nothing like Too Young melodically so to speak, it was kind of dissonant.

I think them playing it on SNL has caused a resurgence of interest in them:

Here is a clip of them live on French tv:

Edit: They posted their own performance from SNL on their blog:

Oh it looks like its gone. Oh well here is their blog!
