Just thought about it...If it was me, i would have. Just to get a glimpse of someone i care about again... sorry if that sounds kind of creepy.

It struck me...because he doesn't even have the slightest flinch to it. And he walks around looking for Charlotte...

And he did screw it up that day...with the singer. It had to happen for them to have closure...well as far as the argument they had earlier.

And because this happened they grew closer...

I mean... i would do it. Just to fix things. And make sure that i spent time with the woman i am interested in.

Well anyone else think about this?

330+ topics, 4000+ posts and nobody thought of this! It really does make sense when you put it that way.

I never thought of this. I now believe it to be true.

Well, I do not really think that's the case.

For instance, how could he have started the alarm (btw I always thought it was an earthquake alarm)? He probably could have gotten arrested for pulling a stunt like that!

And then, what happens next is just too perfect for Bob to have orchestrated it: he actually meets Charlotte outside the hotel and when they go to the New York Bar for a farewell drink the red-haired singer isn't there to distract them!

I just think it's a deus-ex-machina kind of event. Stranger things have happened!

After watching Lost in Translation again recently...i noticed that in this scene a firetruck is in the back ground..or at least what looks like a fire truck...

And it feels as if he was searching for her...hoping that she would be there... i love it when you see that she has forgiven him...she smiles slightly... it's just perfect.
