Re: Play It Again Sam...er um...I mean Charlotte!!!
Well, crikey I've logged this film on Letterboxd (great film website by the way) only 7 times but got to be getting closer to thirty or forty watches in reality. Hope all lit fans are doing well in Virus quarantine. Watched it with a close friend and she really enjoyed it. Roll on 20th anniversary ...

Hi there! How funny -- you mentioned that I'm active here, but it took me exactly one month to reply! I'm sorry about that ... ! I do love Sideways ! Unfortunately, there are no forums I know of for it ... If you enjoy the film, I would also suggest the book! Events happen a little bit differ...

Re: Your LiT Traditions.
The last time I watched it from start to finish (and not as background music) was during our first trip to Japan in 2016, on our last night in the Park Hyatt Tokyo, my wife and I ordered room service and watched it over our meal, in our room, against the backdrop of the brilliant and haunting Tokyo...

Re: the Introduce Yourself thread
Over time, as I started to travel more and developed acute wanderlust, I really wanted to "get lost" in the same way the characters in the movie did. Beautifully said! I recently came across your post about visiting the Park Hyatt Tokyo. How wonderful it must have been to satisfy that wanderlust, a...

Re: Your LiT Traditions.
Similar to others' experiences, I also choose to watch Lost in Translation at night, by myself. Recently, I've decided to listen with big, plush, noise-cancelling headphones. It really adds to the experience, and makes me feel slightly more connected to Charlotte, who wears headphones of her own thr...

I am midway to my mid-thirties and work as a travel agent in Southern California. While I am passionate about film as a whole, Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation has bee...

Happy Fifteenth Anniversary, Lost in Translation!
I celebrated a little later than usual -- on Friday, September 21 with a taste of Suntory whisky for Bill Murray's birthday. (Felt appropriate!)

Set Pictures: Behind the Scenes with Sofia Coppola
https://image.ibb.co/b67x8S/Durham.png To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Sofia Coppola's director's debut, Set Pictures: Behind the Scenes with Sofia Coppola was released exclusively in Japan on February 9. From what I could find online, it contains behind-the-scenes photographs taken on Sofia...

The last time I watched Lost in Translation was at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. It played in the theater in conjunction with a photography exhibit focused on Tokyo. It was only my second time seeing it on a "big screen," so my anticipation was high. Not surprisingly, anticipation was met with ab...

I've never been able to find "Goodbye" in the film even with the volume cranked. I originally thought it played as Charlotte walked through Shibuya crossing, but it looks like I am wrong. Hmm. Time to watch Lost in Translation with a new mission ... ! Before I watch LiT, I usually let the menu play...

These are absolutely stunning posters ... this one, in particular, has always been one of my favourites.
The only complaint I have about these is that they aren't real! It's really difficult to resist the beauty of the simplicity in these posters.
Thank you for sharing these with us!
