I was searching (google) for something related to LiT and some search results came up on reddit.
There are a bunch of LiT discussions on there including one which mentions this film and a separate post which links to this video
comparing the two side by side:
Lost in Translation // Her: An Unloved Story

I'm gobsmacked! I was never interested in seeing that movie but now I think I am!
From what I have read, the John / Charlotte relationship was to some degree a reflection of Spike and Charlotte and that Spike made
Her in response and in reflection about his breakup and divorce from Sofia.
For example:

Theory: Spike Jonze made "Her" in response to LIT and divorce from Sofia

I have heard that theory.
They are both great movies and would make a good double-header.
I have also heard the Lost in Translation characters are based on the following people:
Charlotte = Sofia Coppola
John = Spike Jones
Kelly = Cameron Diaz, Kelly mentions the bay of pigs and Diazs' father is half Cuban. Rumours Spike had an affair with her.
Bob = Heard this might be Harrison Ford, as he actually made some commercials in Japan too in the 90s/00s and also went through a divorce around the early 2000s.
